A/M transformed an 1850s blacksmith shop in the far northern foothills of the Catskill Mountains into a cozy, year-round retreat. While leaving structural elements of the original space, the Smithy incorporates furnishings and fixtures from the surrounding area, carefully chosen to speak to the soul of the space. This project of renovation and restoration combines an enthusiasm for collecting with an appreciation for simplicity.
